IBIBONDO ECD, a beacon of hope for children

IBIBONDO ECD is an early childhood development center of Dorcas Consolation Family (DCF) that takes care of around 20 children aged 3 to 6. The children are mainly born from teen mothers and vulnerable women, also beneficiaries of DCF.

DCF believes that every child deserves a strong start in life, and is therefore working tirelessly to ensure that children from disadvantaged families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.�Using locally-made play and learning materials, children access organized age-appropriate opportunities enabling them to develop social behaviors, emotional capacities, problem-solving abilities, numbering and pre-literacy skills that are essential building blocks for a successful life.�

Nutritious balanced diet is offered to elevate child growth, prevent diseases and improve overall health outcomes. Every child at IBIBONDO ECD is provided with a nurturing atmosphere that supports his/her emotional development and a hygienic environment with love, safety, security and play that raises their intellectual competencies and potentials at an early age.
