Dorcas Consolation Family has introduced handcraft training to women heading families and teen mothers for them to explore their potential and develop the skills and resources they need to be self-sufficient and successful.

When women take the lead in income-generating activities, they make decisions about investment and spending and thus become more economically empowered within the household, community, and society.

DCF believes that empowering women with handcraft skills will bring sustainable employment in future, nutritional and health status of the target families, improve the quality of life, economic conditions and provide source of independent income to the target families to minimize their problems; and needs related to the financial matters of the families breaking the cycle of poverty and uplifting the community in general.
